This means that machines and products can communicate so they can manage themselves and each other. Software-based system and service platforms will play a major role in tomorrow’s manufacturing; they are the only way to bring connectivity, including data analysis, to machines and workpieces in production. What will customers want in the future? They will demand a wider range of variants and more personalized products. Thus, future production must be able to adapt quickly to changed market requirements. Industry 4.0 is the answer to this challenge.
In the light of these developments, Boğaziçi University and Bosch Turkey has jointly developed a unique certification program that is Shape the Change – Digital Manufacturing & Industry 4.0. Students enrolled in any undergraduate and graduate programs of any university in Turkey may apply the Programme and work on innovation projects focusing digital manufacturing & Industry 4.0. Future production must be able to adapt quickly to changed market requirements Industry 4.0 is the answer to this challenge. Thus, Industry 4.0 is chosen as a topic due to its value.
“Shape the Change” Programme is jointly implemented by Boğaziçi University and Bosch Turkey. Boğaziçi University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) is the responsible office for the implementation of the program. Dr. Burak Acar, from Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University, acts as the academic director. Bosch Turkey IoT & Industry 4.0 Project Team is the responsible office at Bosch Turkey. Mr. Mustafa Ayhan, BOSCH IoT and Industry 4.0 Coordinator, acts as the industrial director.
